Introduction

At Videotecnia we’re celebrating 16 years of successful audiovisual production in Oaxaca. This post looks back at the milestones that shaped us—from our first DVDs and analog CCTV setups to full-service production for the Business Events (MICE) industry, with live streaming, LED screens, professional audio and lighting, and corporate videos designed for multiple platforms. Our guiding principle remains the same: everything must look, sound, and feel flawless, both on-site and online.

2009–2025: Milestones that shaped us

  • 2009 — Origins. We launched with corporate videos delivered on DVD (5–10 minutes) and our first CCTV builds using Videonics switchers—fully analog.

  • 2012 — Specialized industries. We produced corporate videos for mining and other technical sectors, learning to translate complex processes into clear narratives.

  • 2014 — Broadcast TV. We created and commercialized our own local TV show, “Tiempo Fuera,” a sports debate program. That led to a contract with Chapulineros de Oaxaca, and our first live broadcasts in the city.

  • 2019 — High-profile productions. With Azarel joining as a partner, we delivered a large-scale museum-style event at the newly inaugurated Oaxaca Convention Center.

  • 2020–2021 — The pandemic and virtual mastery. We pivoted to virtual events, perfected live streaming, and later hybrid formats.

  • 2021–2025 — End-to-end production. We evolved from “just video” to running complete events: AV coordination, LED, audio, lighting, redundant connectivity, and on-site editing. Meanwhile, corporate video embraced digital video marketing born from social platforms.

How we produce today (non-negotiables)

  1. CCTV + Live Streaming. Cameras, video switchers, and distribution to in-venue screens and online platforms.

  2. High-resolution LED. Brightness and dimensions set to audience size, viewing distance, and ambient light.

  3. Professional audio & stage lighting. The right microphones, linear or compact PA, and lighting designed for voice and brand.

  4. Stage, backdrop & partitions. Visibility, event identity, and ergonomics for photography and streaming.

  5. Robust, redundant connectivity. Fiber, load balancing, and backup routes for registration, streaming, and backstage tools.

  6. Coverage & on-site editing. Highlights and quick clips “in the moment” for social media and event screens.

Key lessons from 16 years

  • Rigorous pre-production: brief, objectives, script, room layout, and run-of-show.

  • Multi-platform by design: plan for web, social, and signage from the script stage.

  • Technical redundancy: clear fallback routes for audio, video, and internet.

  • People and coordination: success in the room = communication + rehearsal.

  • Responsible AI: we use it when it truly adds value—creative direction stays in charge.

Where we’re headedWe’ll continue deepening our work in the Business Events (MICE) industry across Oaxaca and Mexico, and in corporate video with a strategic, measurable approach. Our goal remains unchanged: flawless experiences that connect objectives to outcomes.
